PREREQUISITES: Two semesters of programming classes (e.g., CS 120 & 122, or CS 120 & CS 330) or equivalent experience.
MEETING TIMES: TR 12-1:40 pm SEAB 1207 CREDIT HOURS: 4
DESCRIPTION:
This course will be focused on programming new, sophisticated behaviors
into existing robots (rather than building new robots from scratch). We'll
form project teams and take on a variety of ambitious, high-profile tasks
that will depend on the funding we get, and the individual talents and
capabilities of the students. Alumni of last year's robot class are
encouraged to enroll and will be expected to take on greater responsibilities
as leaders and experts commensurate with their experience. Please
contact Jeffrey Horn (jhorn@nmu.edu, 227-1607) with questions.
NOTE: Non-CS majors are especially encouraged
to enroll, as we would like to utilize the skills and knowledge of those
with significant IT, ET, or other digital circuits coursework under their
belts! These projects will require diverse teams.
