• Sensors:
• ALL sensors are noisy.
• NO single sensor datum is  reliable.
• NO single sensor can give you an accurate picture of the world.
• You can make up for lousy hardware in software (the converse is NOT true!)
• The flip side is:  You can make your software task  much easier with better hardware
• The "ACCURACY-SPEED" tradeoff
• More sensors -> More data -> More processing  ->  More time OR more processors
