DESCRIPTION:

Introduction to Mobile Robots (a CS 295:  Special Topics in Computer Science class) will include an
overview of the state-of-the-art in autonomous robots, and hands-on project experience with many of
the robots in NMU's Northern Evolutionary Robotics Laboratory (NERL).  This course will involve
robotics hardware and software.  Students should have some programming experience, although this can
be minimal (e.g., writing scripts, HTML, or spreadsheet macros!).  The class will meet Tues. and
Thurs. from 4:00 to 5:40 pm.  Mathematics and science education majors, and area teachers and high
school seniors are all welcome to enroll.
