MINOR PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS IN MATHEMATICS & COMPUTER SCIENCE

Mathematics courses with a middle digit of "5" will not count toward the requirements of a minor. Students pursuing a minor in the department are urged to consult with their advisor in determining an appropriate selection of mathematics courses.

Minor in Mathematics requires 20 credits in mathematics courses numbered 115 or above, excluding those with middle digit "5"; up to 8 hours of these may be computer science courses numbered 120 or above.  This option is NOT available as a teaching minor.
 
Minor in Computer Science requires 20 credits in computer science courses numbered 120 or above; up to 8 hours of these may be mathematics courses numbered 115 or above, excluding those with a middle digit of 5.
 
Minor in Secondary Education requires 24-25 credits in mathematics courses including MA 171 or MA 371; and MA161, MA163, MA211, MA312, MA331; and MA350.

Grade earned in methods course(s) is calculated with courses in the Professional Education sequence in the major.
